Luxembourg Fund Partners was founded in 2009 by Luc Leleux and Julien Renaux. Both had a clear vision of an independent, conflict-free and client-focused firm whose interests would be closely aligned with those of its clients and investors. The mix of team members and their complementary skills ensures not only the ability to evaluate potential opportunities, but also the required competence to implement these ideas.

We have brought together a strong team of financial experts with proven track records and delivering superior fund management support and bespoke asset management services to a variety of clients and investors.

Christophe is Managing Director of JTC (Luxembourg) S.A., specialising in fund administration services and corporate governance. He joined JTC in 2015.

Prior to this, Christophe was Managing Director of the Luxembourg office of Apex Fund Services, Head of Sales, Product Development and Marketing at European Fund Administration for 10 years and a management consultant with Deloitte Luxembourg from 1997 to 2000. He started his career with AXA Investment Managers in Germany in 1995 as a product manager.

Christophe is an active member of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) technical committees and forums, where he currently acts as chairperson of the Leading Edge Conference steering committee.

Luc Leleux is Founder and an Executive Board Member of Luxembourg Fund Partners. Prior to founding the firm together with Julien Renaux, Mr. Leleux held management positions within various international banks and investment funds. With more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry, he is responsible for the groups Investment Management and Operations department.

Mr. Leleux has a deep knowledge of the investment fund industry having worked for major financial institutions such as Chase Manhattan Bank, State Street Bank or the Royal Bank of Canada. At the beginning of his career, Mr. Leleux managed operational teams delivering custody, fund accounting, transfer agency and legal services to regulated investment funds. His expertise covers both traditional and alternative investment strategies, including  private equity and real estate investment structures. Throughout his career he developed solutions to exceed the needs of its clients and their underlying investors.  

Julien Renaux is an Executive Board Member and Founder of Luxembourg Fund Partners.

Since the firms incorporation in 2009, Mr. Renaux has been involved in the conception and launch of many investment vehicles. He is responsible for Luxembourg Fund Partners’ Private Equity / Real Estate department.

Mr. Renaux has an extensive experience in the investment fund industry through numerous advisory roles at fund management companies, fund administrators and custodian banks. Furthermore he is active in the private equity, real estate and plain vanilla fund industry.

Before founding Luxembourg Fund Partners together with Luc Leleux, Mr. Renaux worked for Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young. In these positions he was in charge of investment processes and transaction activities, including deal sourcing, due diligence, valuation, investment monitoring and risk management, covering a wide range of fund structures and asset classes.  

Mr. Renaux holds a Master of Science in Economics and Finance with majors in financial mathematics and a specialization in financial markets.

Dr. Stefan Miller is an Executive Board Member of Luxembourg Fund Partners. He is responsible for Risk Management, Fund Compliance and Valuation.

Having worked in different sectors of the financial industry such as advisory, banking and asset management, Dr. Miller has gained extensive experience in Finance and Risk. He joined Luxembourg Fund Partners in 2014.

Dr. Miller holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Stuttgart and a Master in Mathematical Finance from the University of Oxford.

Bertrand Mouchot-Chardin is an Executive Board Member of Luxembourg Fund Partners.

Peter Hughes is a non-executive Director of Luxembourg Fund Partners. He has more than 25 years of experience within the investment fund industry, with a specific focus on the fund’s administration activities.

Mr. Hughes is the Group Managing Director and Founder of Apex Fund Services Limited. Under his leadership Apex Fund Services has grown rapidly. With $24 billion of Assets under Administration and 27 offices worldwide, the Apex group has an strong network within the investment fund industry.

Over the last eight years Mr. Hughes has built the Apex Global Network, which is at the heart of the Company’s strategy of being located alongside its clients. With its global reach and local presence, Apex is able to provide the highest levels of personalised fund administration services to its clients. From 2000 to 2003 he was Chief Financial Officer of FMG Fund Managers Limited. Before joning FMG Fund Managers Limited he was a financial analyst at Cazenove Fund Management in London and Group Manager at Hemisphere Management Limited in Bermuda.

Mr. Hughes obtained a Certificate of Chartered Accountant in 1994 and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Jonathan Burger is a non-executive Board Member of Luxembourg Fund Partners. As a crucial services provider of the company and expert for investment funds law, he developed the investment management practice of LEXFIELD – Avocats à la Cour, the Company’s main legal advisors.

Mr. Burger combines his strong tax expertise of international tax structuring with the creation and organization of Luxembourg regulated investment vehicles, including UCITS and Specialized Investment Funds (SIFs). He advises domestic and international fund promoters, distributors, investment bankers, asset managers, depositary banks, central administrations and other agents providing fund-related services. Before joining LEXFIELD, Jonathan was working in international law firms established in Luxembourg, including one of the “Magic Circle” law firms.”

Mr. Burger holds a Master's degree in Fiscal Law from Université Panthéon-Assas, and a Ph.D. in Private Law from the Université Nancy 2.

Yves Mahé is a non-executive Board Member of Luxembourg Fund Partners. He has more than 30 years of professional experience within the financial industry and is responsible for the company’s overall investment management activities.

After a career start as financial analyst and portfolio manager at the brokerage firm Michel Puget, he acted as Vice Chairman and owner of the stockbrokerage firm Puget Mahé. He was later appointed Chief Executive Officer of B.Z.W (Barclays de Zoete Wedd) Puget Mahé. In 1992 he founded Yves Mahé & Associés. After the takeover of Yves Mahé & Assocés by the Dexia Group, Mr. Mahé became Chairman of the newly created company Dexia Mahé Vendôme. He also founded YMA Asset Management and acted as chairman of several asset management firms in Europe.

Mr. Mahé holds a Master's degree in Financial Law and an official diploma as ‘Agent de Change’ (stockbroker). In 2000 he was decorated with the Médaille de la ville de Paris and appointed Chevalier de l’Ordre de la Légion d’Honneur in 2001 as well as Officier de l’Ordre National du Mérite in 2003 – the latter being the two highest distinctions within the French Republic.
